CardioMetabolic Balance

DESCRIPTION
CardioMetabolic Balance is a unique combination of three nutritional supplements; berberine, alpha-lipoic acid and grape seed extract. Together they support the maintenance of the cardiovascular system and of healthy blood sugar levels.

Berberine naturally occurs in plants. Medical studies have shown that it is effective for aiding the maintenance of cardiovascular and metabolic health. Berberine has also been shown in medical studies to help support healthy blood pressure maintenance, and regulate metabolism of blood sugar and lipids, such as cholesterol.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid is involved in glucose metabolism, including blood sugar regulation and helps support the maintenance of proper insulin function. Alpha-lipoic acid also has antioxidant properties which have been shown to protect our body’s cells against wear and tear caused by free radicals that build up as a normal byproduct of metabolism and from various forms of stress. Alpha-lipoic acid is a major regulator of energy metabolism and is important in the support and maintenance of protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.

Grape Seed Extract is rich in specific polyphenol antioxidants that medical studies have shown to support cardiovascular health and are highly effective at neutralizing the adverse effects of certain undesirable free radicals.

INDICATIONS
CardioMetabolic Balance is a useful dietary supplement to support blood glucose metabolism, the maintenance of optimal cholesterol and cardiovascular health.

SUGGESTED USE
Adults take 1 capsule twice daily or as directed by your health care professional.

SIDE EFFECTS
May cause gastrointestinal adverse effects in some individuals.

Berberine may increase bilirubin levels. Berberine displaces bilirubin from albumin and increases total and unbound bilirubin concentrations.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Berberine appears to undergo phase I hepatic metabolism. There is preliminary evidence that berberine might inhibit cytochrome P450 3A4, 2C9, 2D6 enzymes. Therefore, consult your health care professional prior to taking this medication who can monitor drug levels metabolized by these enzymes.

Alpha-lipoic acid may cause low blood sugar particularly in patients with diabetes mellitus who are on a medication(s) that lowers blood sugar.

WARNING: DO NOT TAKE IF PREGNANT OR LACTATING.

STORAGE
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
